Peristil, a private garden house, allows guests to experience the distinctly German pleasures of urban garden living in the middle of the city. The garden features a Steinhaus (stone house) with a full-sized American bed, dining table, stove, sink, funky original 1960s Bosch refrigerator and an electric heater for chilly nights. The new, modern bathroom has a flushing toilet and tiled shower. Peristil's generous lawns are punctuated with stylish vintage garden furniture and umbrellas; colorful flowers abound. During the early and mid-summer months guests will enjoy freshly picked strawberries, rhubarb, mint, red and black Johannisbeeren (currants), plumbs, and gooseberries. In the later summer into early fall red grapes, tomatoes, hazelnuts, apples, and pears abound.
Of course you'll also want to explore the more urban pleasures and sights of Berlin, and a short bus ride or 15-minute walk will take you directly to the Tempelhofer Hafen mall with an excellent grocery store and a U6 subway stop where you can easily access all that the Haupstadt has to offer.
Peristil is available from Spring to Fall and rates include roundtrip taxi service from within Berlin. The garden house is suitable for one or two guests.
